WEM August Lunchtime Concert with Simon and David Ponsford

As part of the annual Worcester Festival we are presenting a lunchtime concert at Old Saint Martins, Cornmarket at 1pm on Wednesday 16th August. Simon Ponsford (counter tenor) will give a recital of Elizabethan Song accompanied by David Ponsford, playing the virginals.

The programme will include songs by John Dowland (Come again, sweet love doth now invite, Can she excuse my wrongs?, Time stands still, I saw my lady weep, Flow my tears, In darkness let me dwell), by Robert Johnson (Where the bee sucks, there suck I, Full fathom five, Willow Song​) and Thomas Campion’s Never weather-beaten sail
